Physical Characteristics

Perennial Climber. . The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs). We rate it 0/5 for edibility and 2/5 for medicinal use.

Depurative Febrifuge.

The root tuber is depurative and febrifuge[147]. It stimulates blood circulation and relaxes the muscles[147]. The root is used in the treatment of diphtheria, boils and ulcers, traumatic bleeding, snakebites, rheumatoid aches and pains in the backs and legs[147]. It is used internally in decoction, or the crushed root can be used externally as a poultice.
