Physical Characteristics

Annual growing to 0.2m. . The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Insects. We rate it 0/5 for edibility and 1/5 for medicinal use.

The plant prefers light (sandy) and medium (loamy) soils and requires well-drained soil. The plant prefers acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It requires dry or moist soil.

Cultivation details

We have almost no information on this species but one report says that it would probably be successful in Britain if grown in moist ground[1]. Some authorities list the plant as Anaphalis keriensis.
It is likely to require a well-drained soil in a sunny position[200].

Propagation

Seed - sow late spring in situ and only just cover the seed.
